Two ways of doing it

Put them side by side

Two product types, two saved edits, or up to four actual products. A type score is not a formula score. What is missing stays missing.

Up to four catalog rows. A type fit is not a formula fit. Prices are street bands or estimates, never live quotes, and a missing ingredient list is not scored as a match or a mismatch.

The Ordinary

Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

Cosmetic job
Hydrating prep layer. The only reliable anti-cake step, and it is not makeup. This is the type's job, not a finding about this formula.
Type prior, not this formula
Format lane
care
Type prior, not this formula
Finish
Not stated. Not guessed.

Coverage
Type prior 0 on the catalog scale. Not a measurement of this unit.
Type prior, not this formula
Price
$6 is a street-price band, not a live quote and not a quality score.

Ingredients
No INCI list is stored on this row. Missing ingredients are not a match and not a mismatch.

Size
Size and unit are not on this row.

Manufacturer evidence
Manufacturer evidence was not collected for price, size, shade or INCI. Those stay unknown. A street band or a shade count on the card is not that evidence.

Each group is a different question. They are not combined into one “similar” score.

Already owned

Shelf rows whose stated type matches this catalog type. A shelf label is user-entered.

Nothing in this group.

Same job and format

Same catalog type. The type is a prior about the job, not proof these formulas wear the same way.

  • Odacité · Serum Concentrate

Filed under the same product type.

No documented INCI, concentration, shade or wear result on this row.

  • Coola · Mineral Silk Crème

Filed under the same product type.

No documented INCI, concentration, shade or wear result on this row.

  • Bobbi Brown · Vitamin Enriched Face Base

Filed under the same product type.

No documented INCI, concentration, shade or wear result on this row.

Similar stated finish

Exact match on a finish word already written on the row (from the name, or from the type). Not a wear test. A missing finish is left out, not treated as matte.

Nothing in this group.

Street band, same job

Non-estimated street bands for the same type, lowest figure first. Estimated prices are left out. Prestige is not used.

  • Odacité · Serum Concentrate

Street band $39. A lower band is not a better formula.

No documented INCI, concentration, shade or wear result on this row.

Price is not a quality input.

  • Coola · Mineral Silk Crème

Street band $42. A lower band is not a better formula.

No documented INCI, concentration, shade or wear result on this row.

Price is not a quality input.

  • Bobbi Brown · Vitamin Enriched Face Base

Street band $64. A lower band is not a better formula.

No documented INCI, concentration, shade or wear result on this row.

Price is not a quality input.

Similar ingredient list

Not computed. These rows do not carry an INCI list, a may-contain pigment list, or concentrations. There is no denominator and no normalization. A missing list is not a similarity of zero, and it is not evidence the formulas differ. Direction is irrelevant because no overlap is calculated. Ingredient overlap, were it present, still would not establish identical wear, shade or tolerability.

Nothing in this group.

When this is not a makeup question

Nothing is written into another desk without you choosing it. These links carry only the context named on them.

  • Skincare Intelligence

Carry your skin, climate, sensitivity and named concerns across so the routine can be evaluated with the same stated inputs the makeup desk used.

  • Vanity or Vice · Routines & Ingredients

The order you apply things in, what each film is intended to do, and where the evidence is uncertain — argued long-form rather than scored. This is the reading behind the sequence this desk just gave you.
